Fireworks

I was expecting one of the challenge blogs to demand a card themed around fireworks, but none did this year. Undeterred, here are two fireworks cards I made using Banana Frog fireworks stamps, embossed with tinselly powders, shrink plastic, brads from K&Co and a celebrate stamp from Stampin' Up.

"Not a Card"

My first entry for the Corrosive Challenges blog. The challenge is to create something that isn't a card. Here is my scrapbook layout of our recent trip to Niagara Falls.

Paper: Imaginiesce; "raindrop" dome stickers: EK Success. Chipboard letters: American Crafts Thickers. Clock: Heidi Swapp.

Edgar Allan Poe

When I saw the Sunday Postcard Art challenge of Edgar Allan Poe, my heart sank. I don't really know much about him. But some research online corrected that failing and I was able to create a postcard.

I Can See Clearly Now

Lythan's challenge at Daring Cardmakers is "something clear on your card. It could be an acetate card, an acetate embellishment, a window cut in the card, clingfilm, OHP sheet, Mirror fragments - anything that shows that your card is clearly one of the best!"

I stamped a chandelier (Inkadinkadoo) in white and blue on acetate and shrink plastic tiles.

Cupcake card

Very easy challenge over at Lots To Do: create a card of your choice. Here is my cupcake card which used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on vellum and a free stamp with Craft Stamper, plus some velvet textured paper.
