An alcoholic background

Latest challenge at Arty Girlz is to make handmade backgrounds. "Get those fingers inky & painted & make a custom piece of paper/card for your design".

This was a good opportunity to try my new alcohol inks. I mixed and merged two colours and then stamped in gold over the top using Art Impressions' serpentine stamp. I then stamped the dress, Inkadinkadoo's My Mother's Dress, and painted it with Twinkling H2Os and a smidgeon of alcohol ink, and added some bling. I cut a heart shape and used a Making Memories frame, and the letter brads at the top are by Colorbok.

Love it. I needed this kind of inspiration as I have been asked to make a 'prom' card. Love the use of alcohol inks. Did you use a pad to apply the inks?

The background is scrummy. Beautiful colours. I've not got any alcohol inks but I think they are having to go on my wish list!
