Easter

I love Easter: it coincides with spring and everything feels so fresh and joyful. A new challenge to me, Pan Pastel UK Blog Challenge, wants to see our Easter projects.

My card uses a vintage image, embossed Nestabilities die and assorted flowers including a gorgeous layered bloom by Prima.

I made another and used Diamond Glaze on the eggs to raise them off the page. Soft colour effect achieved with chalks on embossed paper.

Daffodils for March

Daffodils for March is the latest challenge posed by the Daring Cardmakers. Here is my entry, which I made as an Easter card. With Easter being late this year, the daffodils will have been and gone, but I didn't think of that at the time!

How Egg-citing

With Easter round the corner, Daring Cardmakers challenge is for a card with Easter eggs. I used an egg stamp by Art Impressions, Twinkling H2Os and a little glitter, and background paper is Sultry by BasicGrey.

Easter

Suddenly it's nearly Easter. Lili of the Valley latest challenge is, appropriately, Easter.

I used a hyacinth stamp by Hero Arts and stamped it several times on vellum and twice on card. I then highlighted the darker hyacinths stamped on the card with Glossy Accents and elevated them slightly with foam pads.

Happy Easter

This year is whizzing by - already it is Easter! Daring Cardmakers are asking to see Easter cards: here are mine.

Last year I created lots but this year I limited it to three. It's a shame that people don't send Easter cards in my view.

Card at the top uses an Easter stamp set I've had for a while, because I can't resist a bit of stamping. I painted the images with Twinkling H2Os. The letters are from rub ons by Making Memories.
This next card, left, uses Colorbok Flavia paper and die cut Easter eggs that came with Let's Make Cards I think - but quite a long time ago, plus some ribbon.
Finally we have decoupage lilies highlighted with some Stickles and Glossy Accents. Lilies always remind me of Easter at Buckfast Abbey when the aroma of lilies is heavy in the church.

Happy Easter everyone...enjoy some crafting over the long weekend!

Using ribbon

Latest challenge at the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog is to use ribbon. I love using ribbon though it's sometimes difficult to stick the damned stuff down, particularly if it's thin. This card I made on Sunday uses two types of ribbon. It's my favourite Hanna stamp and I coloured it in with pencils and gelly roll pens. I embossed the "But I need it" title in copper. The blue paper is by Twelveby12.

I also made a couple of Easter cards. Here's one, which is a lily decoupage I highlighted with glitter. I always associate lilies with Easter because of the glorious heady scent of lilies in Buckfast Abbey when we visited one Easter. The decoupage pack (including card blank) came from Lakeland and the ribbon sticker is by Papermania. The Easter greeting was free with a magazine last year.
