Colour Combo

Daring Cardmakers first challenge of 2012 is a colour combination. I used a Stampington stamp, Dreamward; stamped and then chalked the background, highlighted the dress with some glitter glue, painted a Grungebord panel and computer generated a sentiment.

Father Christmas

The Daring Cardmakers' thoughts have turned to Christmas - aargh!
This week's challenge is Father Christmas, with the chance to win an Echo Park paper pad from Crafty Emma's Store.
My card has a bit of texture going on from the felt poinsettia and the embossing. The Santas are decoupaged and the chipboard greeting is by BasicGrey.

Chasing Cars

An intriguing challenge at Daring Cardmakers: interpret "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. I'm sure the meaning of a song is different to everyone but to me the line "forget the world" reminds me of carefree summer holidays, where you literally do forget the world for a fortnight.

My card is multi-layered. The first layer has acrylic and textured paint; the second alcohol inks, with stamping of seashells from the Cavallini set.

The darling Bugs of May

Bugs is this week's challenge from Daring Cardmakers. My bug is a butterfly. I used stamps by Elusive Images and there's some sparkle with Stickles and a glittery gold leaf.

"April showers bring May flowers" and among those beautiful flowers is the lily-of-the-valley.

Card is for challenges "April showers May flowers" at Sunday Postcard Art  and Flowers for May at Daring Cardmakers.

Spring Fling

Spring fling is the theme this week at Daring Cardmakers. Here is the Mother's Day card I made which I hope qualifies - certainly lots of flowers! I used an old stamp set, Peakin' Posies by Hero Arts, which is one of my favourites. I painted the flowers with Twinkling H2Os and edged them with glitter glue.

Architectural Postage

Take a Word has the challenge Architecture, while Daring Cardmakers has Going Postal. My card combines the two, featuring genuine postage stamps of a London bus and post box, and the architectural splendour of Big Ben and the Tower of London.

Daffodils for March

Daffodils for March is the latest challenge posed by the Daring Cardmakers. Here is my entry, which I made as an Easter card. With Easter being late this year, the daffodils will have been and gone, but I didn't think of that at the time!

Year of the Rabbit

The challenge at Daring Cardmakers is "Year of the Rabbit." Here is my entry - an Easter card. The bunny featured belongs to a blogging chum, Maggie May.

At The Beach

It's nice to get away from cards with Santas, robins and snow. Daring Cardmakers challenge is "at the beach," because in New Zealand, where Keryn lives, it's summer.

Here is my card:

Halloween

Halloween is the challenge at Daring Cardmakers and Lots to Do. My card is a more cheerful take on Halloween than the usual cheerful theme, but with such a happy pumpkin, I had no choice :-)

The first Christmas card this year

I'm a bit behind this year. Usually I have a few Christmas cards in the bank by now. I was prompted to make my first one by Daring Cardmakers. Latest challenge is linked to World Cardmaking Day and Papercraft Inspirations' Christmas blog party.

Here is my entry. Snowman stamp from Trimcraft, glittery paper by Dovecraft and fluffy snowflakes by Craft Planet. Snowman coloured with Copics.

Sorry

Sorry! is the theme at Daring Cardmakers. And I was creating a "sorry I forgot your birthday" card for my sister-in-law (oops) so here it is. Not a very good photo - isn't silver mirri card a nightmare to photograph, I had to keep repositioning it to make sure I wasn't shown! I copied the elephant from a template.

Here comes the sun

I had fun creating scenes of summer as the rain poured down. I think I've nearly met the brief for this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge. At least I have a big yellow sun! I used a stamp by Elusive Images and painted it with Twinkling H2Os, adding a little glitter and some dried leaves and flowers.

Have a Heart

The challenge at Daring Cardmakers is Have a Heart, and it doesn't have to mean a Valentine's card. I used the theme "home is where the heart is" for a new home card.
