Story of my life in pictures
I'm creating a scrapbook album, 12 x 12, about the story of my life. I've decided to have all the photos in black & white for continuity and to use different colours for different times of my life.
Fired with enthusiasm at the weekend, I created five layouts from my childhood years with the colour theme of mostly blue (with one exception!). Here are the first three.
Unusually, I haven't used any cardstock (except for letters in one case). Instead, I will use cardstock as a background for some additional pages about some of my interests: music, perfumes, ballet and so on, throughout my life.
This first LO (top left) goes back to when I was a baby. The paper is by Urban Lily; the flowers are by Making Memories and Rebecca's Scrapbook Stast, the pearls by Hobbycraft and the glittery "This is Me" chipboard sticker by K&Co. The journalling was written on self-adhesive vellum and I did a bit of doodling.
The second LO dates from when I was probably three or four, when we lived briefly in Morden, Surrey. I finally used one of my sheets of Twelveby12 Colorflowers paper. The vellum saying is by K&Co, the buttons by Craftime and the green sparkly letters by Making Memories. I highlighted the petals on the left with Glossy Accents.
The third LO, "Wellies," uses a great picture I've been dying to scrap. I hand cut the title from black cardstock, and also the arrow and boots. The paper is by Doodlebug.
I'll share the rest during the week, plus several cards from one stamp and two altered items.
I'm going to the US on Saturday on business and will be breaking my stash diet. The recent creations have used a lot of supplies, and I need an album for the story of my life. I may also bite the bullet and buy a Cuttlebug so I can create titles.

Fabulous stuff Gail- those pages are a great start to your life album and good idea to keep the photos in black and white. So jealous you're going to the US and get to do some stash shopping over there- tho there weren't as many shops as I thought there would be so research before you go is vital!
WOW, you've done some fab pieces Gail! I love the Wellies one. :)
And go on..........get the cuttlebug - I love mine! :) Enjoy your trip.
Vanessa.
