A rose by any other name

Here's a simple layout showing one of my best roses this year. I have mainly two types, Gertrude Jekhyll (pictured) and Scepter'd Isle. Gertrude is a magnificent rose, very hardy, very vigorous; it keeps flowering all summer and the blooms are amazing, huge and perfect. When I took the photo it had recently rained.

I'm on holiday now so this post was written and scheduled before I left (clever huh!). I brutally de-headed all my roses before I went so that when we return, hopefully there won't be too much petal carnage.

The paper is by Best Creation, the glittery purple letters are Thickers by American Crafts; the hand-made paper is from Lakeland and the white felt is by Queen & Co.

If you want to know more about my rose hobby, check out my other blog.
