Animals and Die Cuts

Yippee found some time for crafting today and made four cards and two scrapbook layouts.

Layers of Color's latest challenge is to create a card that uses a stamp and a farmyard animal. Here is my sheep card. The flowers in the background are from the meadow flowers themeplate by Elusive Images (I love it). I created a sheep shape on card and used cotton wool to represent its fleece. The greeting is on vellum underneath the green ribbon.

Meanwhile Caardvarks has a die cuts challenge. A challenge indeed when you don't possess a die cutting gadget. However, I have plenty of die cuts in my stash from when I used to buy Let's Make Cards, so I created a wedding card adding some glitter glue and using a die but frame by Bam Pop along with die cut cake and glasses.

Metal

Metal is the theme of Layers of Color's latest challenge. I used a new themeplate from Alpha Stamps, letters by HOTP, gold flock from Hobbycraft and bronze Magic Mesh. The background paper is by Stampington.

Roses

Layers of Color has a challenge which is right up my street - roses.

Here is a card I made for my mother's birthday. She and I both love roses. I used an Elusive Images rose themeplate stamp and "decoupaged" some of the flowers and petals, painting them with Twinkling H2Os and highlighting with Diamond Glaze. The background paper is by K&Co and I created the script paper with a stamp by Crafty Individuals.

Buttons

Layers of Color has an interersting challenge: to use buttons in our art projects.

I created a card suitable for a man using a button stamp that came free with Craft Stamper a while ago with teal Staz On, a flourish rub-on by BasicGrey and some buttons and a transparency. Vinyl letters are by American Crafts.

Celebrate the Sea

Latest challenge from Layers of Color is to create a card celebrating the sea. I love seascapes and anything to do with the ocean so I unleashed various stamps by Stampington, the shrink plastic and various inkpads and chalks to create this card.
