More on mini books

I've created three mini books now. Well, two and a half, because the first one, an A5 sized notebook that I covered and painted and decorated is still not finished. That wasn't very mini either.

The two I did most recently are both genuinely mini. One is a Lippy Chick flip book which I created as a Christmas present (so I won't show it here) and used the Doodlebug black & white papers I bought, with pink.

The other used a mini album that was free in Scrapbook Inspirations a few months ago. I've done this for my mum, who I'll be seeing in a fortnight's time.

It's quite freeing doing mini albums rather than 12 x 12. You can use up old scraps and bits of stash. The album for my mum features seven photographs which tell the story of her life. It starts off with a picture of her parents' wedding, then her own wedding, then her three children as children and then with their partners. I used the "time goes on" heritage theme at the start.

I've got another mini book waiting to be altered: this is a Maya Road chipboard album which fits into their coffee break tin (again, just waiting to be altered!). Haven't decided yet what I will do with either.

I've never really got into doing mini books but your SI one looks good and the Lippy Chick one sounds cute with the black, white and pink. I'm sure they'll be much appreciated gifts!

I love doing mini books too. But don't do enough. Yours sound great. :)
