Vintage bathing beauties

What better photo to use than a picture of your mum with her best friend, both aged 18, on Plymouth Hoe?

"Vintage bathing beauties" is the theme at Sunday Postcard Art. My mum (on the right) knitted that bikini herself and recalled that in the sea, it became so heavy she had to be virtually dragged out of the water.

Supplies: various stamps by Cavallini; alcohol inks (background); close friends sticker, K&Co.

Gail, this is wonderful. Love the little netting in the bottom corner.

I love their outfits! And must confess I did think knitted swimming costumes that nearly drowned you were a bit of an urban legend! Very apt photo though for vintage bathing beauties!
